A puddle of grease on the ground can be challenging to remove with conventional products and tools. Cleaning grease from granite and concrete is tricky because these materials don’t have completely smooth surface. Baking soda will help you clean the grease without leaving a trace. You can use this trick to remove cooking oil, cosmetic products, gasoline and other oily substances.

Remove the excess liquid with paper towels but be careful not to spread it. Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda directly onto the stain, until it is covered with a thick layer and wait for 30 minutes. Carefully sweep the baking soda off the floor – all the grease will be in the powder.

There are a lot of different ways to clean tarnished silver with baking soda, depending on what do you want to clean. If you need to remove the tarnish from a jewel without a stone, just mix a few drops of toothpaste with a pinch of baking soda and gently rub the surface. You can brighten up your sterling silver jewellery and accessories with white vinegar and baking soda. Place the items you want to clean in a deep bow. Pour the vinegar then add baking soda. The proportion is four tablespoons of baking soda for every cup of vinegar.
